Assistant Academic Manager – Training/Development

The English Language Centre is a not-for-profit organisation with year-round schools in Brighton, Chester and Eastbourne and an excellent reputation in the market for quality and service. ELC Brighton is one of the oldest language schools in the UK and the joint No1 school in the UK based on British Council inspection criteria.

ELC Brighton is looking for an Assistant Academic Manager – Training/Development to join the team.

Reporting to the Academic Manager you will primarily be responsible for:

  • leading the teacher training team at ELC Brighton in the delivery of brochure and closed group teachers courses
  • training and development of ELC Brighton teachers
  • overseeing the academic delivery of all group courses
  • monitoring the progress of long-term students to ensure they achieve their academic goals
  • teaching on ELC Brighton courses

Applicants must have:

  • a degree and be TEFLQ
  • previous experience of academic management in the UK
  • significant experience of teacher training and development
  • the right to work in the UK

Start date: May 2022

Salary range: £31-34K depending on qualifications and experience
