<!--> Salary: circa. £35,000-£40,000 dependent on skills, knowledge and experience Band: 2 Location: North Greenwich (hybrid model of home working and in-office working) Contract Type: TfL, Permanent Overview Of Role This role will provide project controls support to the Project & Programme Controls Manager and Project Controls Analyst within Technology and Data (T&D), assisting in the successful delivery of T&D projects to time, budget and to the highest possible quality standards. The post holder will provide a pivotal role in health checking our in-flight projects and ensuring we have fit for purpose reports and that procedures are adhered to through monitoring and action. Key Accountabilities

  • Providing project controls support to the Project & Programme Controls Manager, Project Controls Analyst and programme management team to ensure the delivery of projects to time, budget, and the required standards of quality and with the realisation of their intended business benefits
  • Managing and maintaining all Project & Programme controls template documents and procedures and providing guidance for their use
  • Providing project planning, project reporting, financial management, support and administration services under the supervision of the Project & Programme Controls Manager or Project Controls Analyst
  • Managing risk and issue logs for assigned projects and programmes and undertaking project analysis such as identifying risk, issues and gaps
  • Preparation of summary financial and status reports to support project governance using Power BI
  • Deputising for the Project Controls Analyst when required
  • Supporting the Project Controls Manager with screening of new initiatives and prioritisation issues, including tracking actions
Skills Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities, used to working under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills with good working knowledge of standard Windows tools, SharePoint, MS Project and/or Primavera
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to analyse complex data (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels across the organisation.
  • An eye for detail; a "completer-finisher", adaptable self-starter
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to work flexibly and provide general administration skills
  • Recognised project management methodologies (such as PRINCE) or strong interest in this area
  • TfL’s governance structure relating to project authorisation, change management and decision making (or commensurate experience of a similarly scaled and complex operational business)
  • Risk and issue assessment, planning and financial controls
  • Good knowledge and understanding of project reporting cycles in large scale organisations
  • Proven experience of coordinating and implementing project monitoring and reporting processes and ensuring compliance with these.
  • Proven experience of providing project support services including project planning, project reporting, financial management and administration services
  • Experience or familiarity with Power BI as a reporting tool
