A key part of this responsibility is the support to the submarine programme and the provision of Nuclear facilities which are regulated by the Defence Nuclear Safety Regulator, (DNSR) under DSA02 safety regulations to achieve Nuclear Authorisation. The Safety Justification Delivery Manager, (SJDM) will be accountable to the Nuclear Design & Maintenance Deputy Head for ensuring that Site Safety Justification Documentation at Devonport Naval Base meets Nuclear Authorisation and technical nuclear requirements. This will include the specification of requirements to meet Authorisation and Facility Operator requirements, overseeing the production as well as reviewing, evaluating and accepting the quality of the output. SJDM will be required to work with Facility Operators within the Naval Base Authorised Site to develop a programme of work to ensure that adequate Site Safety Justification Documentation is maintained to demonstrate compliance with Authorised Conditions. They will also set the expected safety and security culture for the team producing the documentation and ensure adequate resource and technical ability of authors.-->
