  • $111,563 – $131,517 plus 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading
  • Fixed Term – 12 months
  • Full-time (35 hours per week)

Why this role matters

This position entails serving as course coordinator and lecturer within the teaching team of COMM1170 Organisational Resources. This course combines knowledge from organisational behaviour, strategic management, information technology, finance and accounting to examine how organisations manage their human, technological and financial resources.

This position will work closely with the Academic Lead (Integrated First Year) and teaching team (Associate Course Coordinator, lecturers and tutors). The successful applicant will be expected to cover at least one tutorial each term.

The role of Lecturer and Course coordinator reports to Head of School with a dotted reporting line to Academic Lead (Integrated First Year) and has 0 direct reports.


Specific accountabilities for this role include:

  • Utilising demographic tools and actuarial techniques in devising a health state transition Senior technical leadership role in working with research project team, specifically in administration of Digital platforms to support housing analytics.
  • Develop and test city data APIs or Microservices to support urban modelling and visualisation.
  • Provide high-level strategic advice about software technologies and tools for the funded projects and the Centre.
  • Design and implement effective processes for collecting, manipulating and visualising data.
  • Manage and undertake the coding support for urban modelling implementation.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

Skills And Experience

  • A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience;
  • Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline- based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales)
