EVP NCE > Sales Offshore > Sales UK

Sales Offshore, UK and Ireland are responsible for all sales-related activities from early engagement, overbidding and negotiation until hand-over to Construction upon successful closure of a contract.

The wider team consists of a diverse group of enthusiastic employees covering the geographic offshore regions in the UK and Ireland alongside a team that provides global bid management and sales support to the sales regions.


  • Face the customers jointly with the Senior Sales Manager throughout the entire sales process
  • Be the head of negotiations of all aspects related to construction, technical, HSE and QA in the Turbine Supply Agreement with support from relevant subject matter experts
  • Direct the technical part of the bidding process to ensure an attractive but risk-balanced offer
  • Relationship building with customers and other stakeholders
  • Work very closely with all departments, bringing commercial insight, flagging and managing cross-functional risks, and identifying matters that require advanced legal escalation.
  • Review and provide input to cost and contingency estimates for construction, technical, HSE and QA offerings and ensure consistently high quality of such
  • Set new standards for handling the planning, follow up and report progress internally across all tracks involved in the negotiation of the Turbines Supply Agreement
  • Align construction, technical, HSE and QA customer requirements, risk assessment and mitigation with internal stakeholders
  • Secure compliance with internal processes, mandates and guidelines


We are looking for a person with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in engineering, coupled with at least five years of professional and project management experience. A master’s degree would be preferred
  • You will come from a related offshore industry, onshore wind or complex experience within the energy, power plants, infrastructure or the construction industry
  • Experience with being involved on a technical side in negotiations of large complex projects and is able to articulate the consequences from a technical and contractual point of view
  • High understanding of the technical aspects of complex products and will be required to translate this knowledge into a contractual context
  • Experience with long-term sales processes and will be required to deliver results in a matrix organisation selling large-scale projects
  • Experience with Yellow FIDIC Book
  • Fluent in English

  • Advanced technical understanding and investigative capabilities
  • Ability to work under time sensitive environments and willingness to go the “extra mile”
  • Capable to take discussions with NCE Management and other stakeholders in Vestas
  • Deep value chain understanding and proven history to take decisions in the best interest of Vestas
  • Ability to navigate uncertainty on high stake projects
  • Comfortable to take discussions with C-Level Contacts with the largest customers

Additional Information

This role could be located in either Denmark, Germany, Poland or UK. It will involve around 40 % travel across the region.
