Offshore Contract Management consists of a team of 9 colleagues that are specialised Contract Managers working within offshore construction. All are highly engaged in ensuring the best possible commercial position for Vestas in respect of our offshore construction projects, and this will be your mission too.

You will work as part of the vessel agreement team, working closely together with our Marine and Legal departments in the negotiation of charter parties for offshore installation vessels. You will support internal stakeholders in a pro-active manner to ensure timely execution of contracts, while also providing vessel-related support to Construction Contract Managers during the project execution phase.

You will work with marine-based contracts such as BIMCO Supplytime, but it is also necessary that you will be familiar with FIDIC standard forms of contract and its associated principles and procedures.


  • Establishing agreement of offshore installation vessel charter party conditions of contract and associated annexes
  • Drafting appropriate contractual wording and amendments to standard forms, in collaboration with our Legal department
  • Assisting in developing and continuously updating contract templates
  • Advising and supporting obligations and remedies under existing charter parties
  • Assisting with claims management activities
  • Developing processes and procedures
  • Attending meetings and negotiations


  • Solid experience as a Contract Manager or Quantity Surveyor
  • Hold a relevant University Degree or a relevant professional institute qualification
  • Experience from either offshore wind, construction or engineering industry
  • Familiar with FIDIC conditions of contract and general principles
  • Familiar with BIMCO WINDTIME and SUPPLYTIME standard forms of contract
  • Able to speak and write English fluently
  • Have substantial commercial and contractual experience and exceptional negotiation skills


  • Independent self-starter who is able to handle your own workload with minimal supervision
  • A good collaborator
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive situation to tight deadlines while still paying attention to detail
  • Investigative approach to problem-solving is crucial, as you will be required to minimise exposure to commercial and contractual risks
  • Great organisation, time management and communication skills

Additional Information

Primary work location: Warrington (UK) alternatively you can be based in London (UK), Edinburg (UK), Aarhus (Denmark), Hamburg (Germany).

This position requires up to 30 days travel per year.
