Warwick District Council is committed to delivering a range of high-quality, front-line services that make the area a great place to live, work and visit. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Area Contract Officer to join our Contract Services Team, to manage a range of services including, building cleaning, grounds maintenance, street cleansing and waste collection.

You will be responsible for a given geographic area in the district, overseeing the work carried out both by external contractors and an in-house Ranger Service. It is essential that you have extensive experience of managing maintenance contracts, operational health and safety, and budget management.

You will be the key point of contact for residents, contractors, Town and Parish Councils, Community Forums, Councillors and other agencies, so it is essential that you are able to work under your own initiative, are self-motivated, and have excellent customer service skills.

This role will enable you to shape the quality of services provided to our customers, help drive innovation and service development, and identify service efficiencies in an ever-changing environment.

A full driving licence and use of a vehicle is required.

The intention is for the jobholder to work remotely, however office working is available if necessary. It is a requirement of the role that the successful candidate will be available to attend office/site visits when required.
