Salary: £24,000-£29,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Youth Business International (YBI) is looking forward to the highlight of 2022 where we will be hosting our Global Summit 2022. This three-day event will bring together representatives from our members with funders, partners, and young entrepreneurs from around the world. The event will be an in-person event with virtual elements to ensure it’s accessible to our global network. YBI is working with a specialist organization to develop and execute the summit, and we are looking for an experienced events coordinator to play a crucial role of project managing the delivery of the event.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Events Coordinator to join our Network Team organising a three-day hybrid summit that will take place in October 2022. This will be a large-scale summit with potentially 1000+ attendees consisting of members, funders, partners, and young entrepreneurs from around the world. Working closely with the members services team, the communications team, and our external partner you will undertake the end-to-end logistical planning as well as be responsible for venue liaison, supplier liaison (AV, Catering, Photography), on-site event co-ordination including venue arrangement, room allocation, coordinating the evening socials and leading on post event evaluation.
The role offers great scope for learning and development for a talented and committed monitoring and evaluation professional. Your work will make a key contribution to enabling YBI to support young entrepreneurs to start, sustain and grow businesses.
Youth Business International (YBI) is the global network of expert organisations in over 50 countries supporting underserved young entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into successful businesses, creating jobs and strengthening communities.
Young people are a critical resource. However, with 66 million unemployed youth worldwide this potential is not being realised. Furthermore, of those that are working, many do not earn enough to lift themselves out of poverty. Addressing the youth employment crisis is imperative, not only for the well-being of young people but to ensure sustainable, inclusive growth and social cohesion globally.
Since 2014 we have supported over 120,000 young people to start or grow a business by delivering a range of practical entrepreneurship support services, from guiding a young person to register a new business and improving their bookkeeping skills to helping them write a business plan or grow their fledgling business through facilitating access to finance.
